FAQ
How much does it cost to participate in Fast-Track-14?
The cost is currently £2,250 plus VAT.
Does Fast-Track-14 include formal certification?
No. Companies that succeed with FT-14 recieve an FT-14 Certificate to signify that they have implemented a fully-capable EMS and are ready for formal Certification to ISO 14001 - the cost of which is typically around £2,000.
What is the FT-14 success rate in gaining certification?
Success is a function of the commitment of individual companies and managers. The majority of participating companies have been able to complete the FT-14 programme within 6 months. However, a minority have taken longer due to internal constraints.
What do I need to do to succeed on the programme?
The success criteria relate to implementation of a fully-capable Environmental Management System, preferably within 6 months. Successful companies are awarded an FT-14 Certificate to recognise their achievement in advance of formal third party certification.
Will I be obliged to reveal competitive information during workshops?
No. Workshops are intended as a friendly discussion forum allowing us to give both group and one-to-one assistance. Participants have welcomed the opportunity to share ideas on tackling individual problems.
Is it possible to meet the FT-14 objectives without attending all workshops?
Yes, because most FT-14 activity is conducted away from the workshops using the ISO Toolkit. However, missing more than one workshop is not recommended since they provide focus, motivation, expert guidance and a forum to report progress.
What is the management time commitment in addition to the monthly workshops?
Typically, a minimum of at least 3 man-days per month. We are currently monitoring this with participants.
If ISO 14001 is a problem for us, will ISYS provide additional assistance?
Yes. Our aim is to guide you to success and we'll try to respond to your specific needs. You'll find your fellow group members supportive too.
Is the ISO Toolkit available, and can it be used without attending workshops?
Yes. Many organisations worldwide have successfully implemented ISO 14001 using the ISO Toolkit (Expert-Ease Pro to give it its formal title). However, we know it's all too easy to become distracted by business pressures and leave even an easy-to-use option such as the ISO Toolkit unused on the shelf. A key objective of FT-14 is to ensure the participating companies maintain momentum.
